Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2007
I lived here for two years. The first year I lived in a downstairs unit. I had to move upstairs becuase my apartment flooded. When I moved in they told me that they were putting in new drainage fields so the water had somewhere to go. Well, needless to say that didn't happen until 6 months after they moved me to an upstairs unit. It wasn't until I got a new couch that I new my carpet had flooded. The couch had to come through the back door. When my friends moved my entertainment center they noticed that the carpet was moist and my entertainment center was ruined. They lifted up the corner of my carpet and found worms! I went up to the office and they sent someone out to look at it 3 days later. I had to send my daughter to my moms. Then maintenance tried telling me that they were just going to put a humidifier in my apartment to dry out the carpet. I said what so I can bring my daughter back here to get sick because of the molding worms under the carpet. I don't think so. They needed to be cleaned up and the carpet replaced. They decided that they were going to move me. I got to stay in the same building. But, one day it rained really hard and my neighbor came home to it raining in her living room. She lived there for about six months with it raining in her living room before she finally said the hell with this and moved. She lived there with 2 kids. At that same time I was waiting for a bathroom cabinet, that they were suposed to have replaced 3-4 months earlier. I had about a month left to my lease and it rained really hard, I got a shower in my living room. They didn't want me to renew my lease because every time my neighbor or I had a problem we didn't care we marched in the office and if they didn't take care of it in the time frame that the WA state lanlord tenant act laws said they had to have it done, we took care of it. It didn't matter if we had to yell and scream. I was told once that one of the leasing agents was scared of me. Well when you have to wait 6 months for something to get fixed and when you move it still hasn't been fixed, yeah i'm gonna be not so nice. Especially when I pay a good amount of money to live here. Just because they don't doesn't mean they don't have to fix the crap.
