We moved into Soundview in June and promptly moved out in August. The manager(s), Heidi and Carisa are extremely unprofessional. They are never in the office, so if you like to get a receipt for your rent payments don't even think about living here. We were told that parking was NOT assigned, when in reality, parking IS assigned in the building we were in (F building). And you only get 1 space! Neither of the managers even knew that parking was assigned for that building, I almost got in a fight with one of my nieghbors about it because I was parking in her space unknowingly! Then... Carisa moved in upstairs. She made a huge deal about parking spaces and then as we were moving out, she started parking in OUR space! We had a month to move our things and she figured since we were in the process of moving out and didn't stay the night there anymore, she could do whatever she wanted. Honestly, we didn't appreciate being woken up in the middle of the night every night by kids trying to steal our cars, or in the morning with cops chasing drug dealers through the parking lot. And then there were the shootings... well lets just say this is NOT a safe neighborhood! And to top it all off, we moved out and ended up getting charged for replacing carpet that had been in the apartment for a long time before us and had HUGE rust colored furniture stains on it! We took them to court and we won. Don't let these people fool you, they are just playing landlord, they have no idea what they are doing. If some tenants are enjoying their stay in the ghetto, I'm happy for them, but we prefer living in an apartment that's 3 times the size, for only a few hundred dollars more a month with underground parking and locked entry to the building where the managers are actually available during the office hours!
