This rating is a joke....

I say we let the apartment ratings page alone, and start our own message board for Woodtrail Village Apartments. These ratings mean nothing, other than tenants finding a way to air their complaints and be heard. I found out about this website after listening to other residents complain about the same things we have had problems with, during a complaint session in the mailroom. I have to agree, there is no comment cards to air dirty laundry, that we have with the property management company, to the actual owners of Woodtrail Village , and if the owners have no clue about what is going on here, how can they make changes. I am sure the property management company is not going to admit their screw-ups. I have zero respect for the head Property Manager who believes that she is above the law. This is my opinion, and 1st amendment rights afford me to state this publicly. Ofcourse it is her job to make sure that as many rentals are rented, and to keep costs down. However, one cannot mess with tenants and expect not to have to take responsibility for it. There are certain laws that every landlord, and their representatives must adhere to, and one of them is privacy, in addition to health and safety issues. Each one of us is a consumer, and if we are not getting what we are paying for, the best relief is rely on governmental agencies to step up to the plate, and make slumlords take responsibility for their actions or lack of action. Just remember, without tenants, this place would really be hurting. If you are not getting what you deserve, or are paying for, there are plenty of government agencies which are on your side if you have legitimate complaints which are not being handled properly.

As for the dog owner, who believes that his dog poop is not an issue, you are sadly mistaken. It is a health, and safety issue,
and if your dog is responsible for someone slipping and falling, then you will take responsibility for your dog's actions, and your lack of responsibility. There are a number of children who play on the grass, and on the outdoor equipment...would want your child falling into some dog poop, that a careless dog owner left because he/she feels it is okay' It is not okay with me, or any other reasonable person, because if someone slips and falls and hurts themself, or a child gets ill from dog poop, you can be certain if that happens, there will be lawsuits. Don't want to clean up after your dog' I wish they would install video cameras all over the property so they can see who is a responsible pet owner, and who is not, and fine them heavily. Until one's pocketbook is hit, you are probably going to allow your dog to relief themselves all over the place. That would take care of those individuals such as yourself that do not understand the principles of being a responsible pet owner.

In response to the towing of vehicles by West Coast Towing, and that there is no connection between Woodtrail Village Apartments and West Coast Towing, it appears differently to those of us that live here. Why are there signs up all over the place that state that West Coast is the towing company to call for Woodtrail Village Apartments. Do you not know there are cheaper towing companies, that are right here in Federal Way that don't cost as much as West Coast Towing, and if the cease and desist is in effect, why are the signs still there' Interestingly enough, every one that has been towed, stated that their vehicle has been towed in the middle of the night. Why was West Coast Towing called and not some less expensive towing company located here in Federal Way' And why has there been West Coast tow trucks cruising the complex' In addition, there is a February 2004 notice to residents that states the connection with West Coast Tow that every one of the residents had to sign.

As far as employees living here, I have also heard differently. I have been told by two former employees that they were required by the Property Manager that they had to live here. I was also advised that they had to pay a higher amount (except they didn't have to pay for sewer and water), and couldn't have a lease so in case they were fired, they would have to move immediately. Were these employees simply lying, and making this up, or is it true' Both of those employees are no longer here, and they both had to move out in a hurry.

The outside of the apartments (yards, landscaping) is nice. The inside of the apartments have been neglected, and at first glance with no lighting in the apartment, it looks nice, until you move in and see all of the problems there are. There are still things we complained about when we moved in that still haven't been taken care of, and we were promised that they would be BEFORE we moved in and that was a LONG time ago.

As for the comments made by the management company in an earlier post. This was a "nice try" to curtail the negative postings in here, however, words are simply that..words...when the place gets cleaned up a little better around here, and you start to hearing (not just this stupid message board)comments in real time about the cleaning up of the property, then this is when you will stop seeing the negativity here in these posts. Anyone can make a post out here, and anyone can be anonymous in their postings, so this means that "phony people" can say nice things. This also means that real people can say nice things. As I said earlier, this rating is useless..

I purposedly waited (until after I called the owner's attention to this board in the first place) to make a post. Hopefully, we can all get out after our lease is up. There are other properties in this city which are better condition, and do not have the same problems that this complex has with the control of tenants.

The road/sidewalks between the 21st Avenue gate and 320th is not well lit at night, and this is a major security issue. In addition, this is also where some of the dog owner's have left their dog's calling cards.

There has been a slight improvement over the past month...at least it is a start in the right direction. bYr9ljUwtCbMRXE8dRDC
