Things are changing a lot...tree removal, remodeled units, new beauty bark, new paint and rumors of a new name even. While this is all well and good (and should have been the norm all along) I'm afraid that we, the residents will be picking up the tab with increased rental rates.
When asked about increases, the office staff merely stated that they "won't know what the rental market is" in the future and cannot divulge how much rent increases will be. (My neighbor's lease recently expired and his rent was increased $100!!!)
Why not be honest and state that they will be increasing rent by at least $100 so that you know how to plan for your future' Don't you hate it when you can't get a straight answer to a straight question'

WOW! You would think that you would be happy that you dont live in a crappy complex anymore. The new owners have invested tons of money so that residents like yourself can have a better place to live. Anyone who lives in an apartment should know not to listen to your neighbors! If you dont know the hole story you shouldnt be talking about it. How do you know they know what the new rent will be? Oh wait you dont!!!!
