My husband, our 3 kids, and I first moved into this complex in 1999, from Florida. We were stuck in that place until June of 2005. That place is poorly maintained- they have maybe 3 maintenance men to care for a compex of more than 50 buildings, with each building averaging at least 6 apartments each (do the math)! That's how I learned to fix things on my own when I could, except when it was too big for me, like when my dryer was broken for 2 1/2 months!!! They are always screwing up peoples rent or just raising it! AND- after a perfect rental history with them (on our part that is!!!) and a very thorough cleaning before we moved out, they said that we owed them $3,000 in DAMAGES (this happens to literally EVERYONE that moves out- no matter what) and immediately sent it to collections without giving us notice!!! When we moved in (in '99) the carpet and vinyl were old and stained, but we told them not to replace it because we had 3 little kids. They took MONTHS to fix anything and what finally got the job done were threats of calling the state housing dept. We spent a winter with no heat because they would not replace the recalled heaters! The only reason why we didn't move before was my husband and I were in school and didn't have the money.
My other warning is that if you move in they don't do background checks anymore. So there were drug dealers dealing, and sex offenders moving in left and right with no warning to the parents now living nextdoor.
PLAIN & SIMPLE-- DON'T MOVE THERE!!!!!
