I lived at the heights just long enough to fulfill my 11 month lease. In this place, that is an eternity. I read the reviews on this place after I had already placed my deposit and since I didn't want to lose these funds thought "It can't be that bad"...well, it is. Within my 11 months, I had 8 work orders to repair things - and this was just 8 times they came to my place-most of the time, there were at least 3 items to fix at each visit. The walls are also thin...from downstairs, I heard the constant cry from a baby; from above I would wake to their alarm clock thinking it was mine, I would hear the TV in their bedroom - I was thankful when I heard the TV as at least it muffled other noises.
Since I had an 11 month lease, items such as carpet & blind cleaning and painting were covered. I received my statement when I moved out-They charged me for these items plus missed showing my full deposit of $300. Thankfully I had all of my paperwork and they were clearly wrong however it took 1.5 months to finally have the mess cleaned up and to refund what they owed me. I finally contacted their head office at http://www.nals.com/ to help me out. They didn't even show up at an appointed time for my walk thru when I moved out- they didn't even call - they just didn't show up.
Safey is a huge problem! I paid for an assigned spot so I could keep an eye on my vehicle and had 3 safety measures on it. Every car around me was continually either broken into or stolen. I've also seen my share of police and fire trucks through the complex too.
Management was a pain to deal with - Sure the girls up at the front can be friendly but the management is never available.
There are other apartments out there!!! Do yourself a favor and pass this one up - on the surface it looks like a nice place to live but it's not!!! This is my report, it's all true. In Summary my advice - JUST DON'T MOVE HERE!!!

This is very typical of the Heights managment. They don't know what they are doing--except when it comes to ripping you off in any way they can think of. You'd think the head office would catch a clue. They always have to get involved. Plus with all the talk of lying on here--you'd think they would do something. It is in their best interest. The person who is a chronic liar is often a chronic thief. NALS catch a clue!!!!!! You can bet that they are sticking it to you, you stupid fool!!!! Even if you don't care that many people are hurt and ripped off and that it makes you look scummy--in your own best interest you had better do something. Just what kind of business people are you??????? I guess that is why you have to settle for a job as a slum lord.
