Love this place!!! I have lived here for 5 months with no incidents or problems... The staff goes over and beyond for any maint. request. I really love the how the new managemnet company has totally turned the place around with new paint and weeding out some of the previous rif-raff. Parking is not an issue for me because i have a carport. It's pretty sad that there is a blog for everything in the world for people to go and wine when they dont get thier way. The bottom line is I searched for the perfect apartment and i read apartment ratings and i there was not one place that anyone said anything nice.... i just had to go in and see for myself. Thank goodness i did!!!!!!

I agree with Anonymous, If you have only been here 5mo, how could you possibly know if mangement was "weeding out some of the previous rif-raff". The Staff does not go above and beyond to fullfill maintenace requests. I myself am still waiting for 2 maintenance requests to be completed, and this is after putting in 3 requests. You say "I really love the how the new managemnet company has totally turned the place around with new paint". 1st of all, the place did not need a new paint, it was just away for the new owners to waste money instead of investing it in areas that need renovating, such as the drainage system. We had multiple areas where pipes broke and flooded the surrounding area. 2ndly, putting new paint on a place does not make a place miraculously turn around just because of paint.LOL You appear to be someone who works for the company and not someone who lives here. Even the management team doesn't live here. Did you know there are actually more people who have moved out since the new company has taken over then with the old company?? I have seen more people move out then I have seen move in. You can walk by and count the number of empty vacant apts. My complex has 4 right now. One has been empty since October and this is Feb. As far as the response by the other anonymous, why should I have to pay an addition extra $40 per month to find parking in my own complex. I should be able to find parking and not have to walk half a mile to get to my complex because there is no visitor parking and because those who do pay to get a carport actually find something closer to their apt so they take up essentialy two spaces(the one they have reserved, and the one they have taken in front of their apt). My neighbor has a car, has basically a live in girlfriend who is not on the lease and yet they both get parking spaces in front(because of when they get home) which her parking space takes away from someone who actually lives here. Now do the math and multiply that by all the complexes here. I'm sure there are more people who have vistors who use our spaces. Why doesn't management use money and dedicate an area reserved for vistors or give out guest passes. It's very simple to do. Give all tenants a sticker that they place on their car(additional money if they have more then one car), if a guest has a vistor, they must use the visitor section, otherwise they will get towed. How simple. Solves the parking issue. oh ya, and those that have a carport, well, they get a different color parking sticker, and if they are found parking in normal parking spaces they either get fined or towed. Should I be working for you brittany or do you think you can actually put into practice some of these ideas on your own?? It is completely obvious that you part of the management team.

I agree! I've been her about 6 months and am very happy! Although my apartment does need some updating!! I don't have a problem with maintenance and the office staff is wonderful. As for parking...I spent the extra $40 and got a carport so I would not have to worry about finding a space close to my bldg. I lived in another complex and this is by far superior as far as seeing unsavory characters hanging around. I feel safe and comfortable!

If you've only been there five months, how many maintenance requests could you have had? How could you know about any previous "rif-raff"? Interesting that you mention the carport, as does the "been there six-months" person who responds to your post - they sure weren't priced at $40 before, I guess they can drop the price since rent has been jacked way up to help pay for the upgrades that most existing residents won't see until they move out and their apartments are redone. Also interesting that you make comments about people whining and mention how the staff is fantastic - most staff are very nice when you are moving in. The question is how they treat you when you have issues or when you are moving out. The way that you mention these things and try and dismiss the complaints from other people is pretty indicative that you are a staff member, as is the person responding to you (nice use of buzz words like unsavory, safe, comfortable). The real bottom line is that if you do the research like you mention and notice that not one nice thing is said, doesn't that tell you something?

Quoted from brittany30?????? It's pretty sad that there is a blog for everything in the world for people to go and wine when they dont get thier way. The bottom line is I searched for the perfect apartment and i read apartment ratings Well that does not surprise me, now I can see why you cannot get answers or things done in the office with the ???Leasing Specialists???. Whoever typed that needs a serious course in grammar as well as spelling! Now onto important things... yes there are places to complain about everything and most places do have happy and unhappy tenants. However, if you really read apartment ratings you need to check the 98023 zip code again. It has 25 listings on Apartment Ratings.com. 17 complexes with less than 20 reviews. Six with less than 60 reviews, one with 97 and then there is The Reserve with a whopping 156 reviews and that does not include replies to posts. So with that in mind, all of these issues are with the tenants? Nothing is wrong with the management? The corporation that owns it? Well, you better take off those rose-colored glasses, or better yet, keep drawing that paycheck from The Reserve. Obviously, ANYONE can work in that office. On another note, this is for all of the tenants who are still here from when it was the Heights. If you paid a DEPOSIT and were told you would get it back at the time of "move out", you had better check into it. Looks like The Reserve does not think that it is their "responsibility".
