The views are fantastic, the rents are reasonable (especially for Gig Harbor), the office and maintenance staff are pleasant and quick to respond to any question or problem, and the neighbors are quiet. What more could you ask for' I?ve never seen the kinds of problems described by the first three reviewers. Yes, one of the on-ramps to Highway 16 was closed for several days after the September 11 terrorist attacks because of threats possibly involving the Tacoma Narrows Bridge. No big deal. And, yes, sometimes the septic tanks do get backed up, but the problem is *always* taken care of within 24 hours (usually less). As for the seven Cuban refugees, well, let?s just say I doubt it.

--ADDENDUM--

Shortly after I wrote the above review, things changed drastically at Cliffside. Even though they state that their minimum lease term is six months, they started renting the two apartments next door and above me to corporations for short-term residents (a few weeks to a month). As a result, the corporate housing people were there often to drag furniture up and down the stairs (NOT quietly), the cleaning person would show up every week and pound on the doors hollering "housekeeping." The guests (I refuse to call them tenants or residents) thought they were living in a hotel and made lots and lots of noise. I complained to the management and was told, "If you don?t like it, move." I did. There was a long delay getting my security deposit back because they posted repairs from another apartment to my account (honest mistake...I don?t know)! I eventually got back the entire deposit, but only after sending a complaint directly to the owners in New York. These are still nice apartments, but be sure to ask about the corporate leases (and get it in writing) before you close the deal.
