Not worth it....

Well, I for one will be thrilled when my lease is up. Honestly the only thing I am going to miss is the location I do enjoy being close to town, I also think the apartments themselves are pretty (decor). Yet these things don't make up for all the problems. Parking here is a major problem, my assigned spot happens to be in the parking garage, a few months ago we had a power surge and since then the garage is very poorly lit. I often fear for my safety walking to and from my car, it's pretty sad when you feel like you need to have the pepper spray ready just to get out of your car. While on the parking issue to put plainly there are not enough spots I rarely have company but when I do they can never find a spot. Also people park in the firelane which drives me crazy, to make matters worse they do this at night and leave their vehicles running and their headlights on which blare right into my bedroom window. I don't sleep in my room anymore I have to sleep in my living room because of this. Now if it were not for people parking in the firelane in the wee hours of the night I would have rated the noise better. My apartment is pretty quiet provided you are in the living room. Finally the maintenance here is shotty, I found painted over water damage in the bathroom, obvious patches in the wall heck I even found some painted over nails! How lazy can you get. Lastly I have begun to get rather annoyed with the managements lack of doing anything about the rule breakers. When I moved in I was told that there are no dogs allowed in or even on the apartment grounds. I see people all the time taking their dogs out to go potty I hear them too barking away... thank goodness nobody I share a wall with has a dog. Nothing will be done about the the people parking in the firelane also. It's not a big deal to the management, oh well them losing a tenent is obviously no big deal too. Until my lease is up I think I'm going to go over the managements head and start informing the actual authorities when I see people in the firelane. Perhaps hefty tickets and possibly having their cars towed will help the problem.
