Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2005
At first, we loved it. The apartment is huge (2bd/2bth 1100SQFT for $870). It is right off a trail, one end takes you to downtown Issaquah, the other, to Tiger Mountain. You get an assigned parking spot and a storage space outside the apartment. Over all appearance is okay, I have seen trash/dumpster issues, but over all, is clean and I do see the maintanence guy picking stuff up and repainting (a great guy).
It is quiet, except for the local gun range (which has decent hours) and the school bus parking and maintanence facility outside our bedroom window. They start earlier (6am-ish) and the noise lasts 2.5 to 3 hours. They don't stop in the summer either.
The paint is nice, I lived in one place where they only primered the walls. Here, they use gloss finished paint.
My car was broken into (can happen anywhere) but was dissappointed went told by the manager that she would talk to their security people about it, when they don't have any security other than the local police department.
The manager also told us how new everything was in the apt. when we talked with the maintance guy, he told us how everything was here before he started 7 years ago. The stove is horrible, either full on or off. They won't replace it (eating out all the time sucks!)
All kitchen appliances are 3/4 size.
They wouldn't replace the stained carpet. They had it redied instead, but that was BS. There was a bleach stain infront of the washer that is still there. Old stains keep rising up from the pad.
Manager told us each apt had it's own water gague for usage, thus you don't pay for anyone else. That was a lie. For two peolpe we have a $70 a month water bill (should be $35), we are paying for other people's usage.
They have a bad habit of coming into our apartment without notice, once while my wife was a sleep. But we have gotten that issue taken care of.
In terms of hearing neighbors through walls, this is the quietest place I have lived in. I hear the occassional shoe dropped on floor from upstairs neighbor, sometimes some other stuff, but it has been nice.
Sometimes teens on the trail make noise at night, sometimes headlights in the bedroom window. These are annoying, but again, might happen anywhere.
SO, other than the manager lieing about everything under the sun and back, they have have been quick and competent with repairs, the place is pretty clean, the apt is pretty nice (other than the rug and stove).
