Maintenance used to be good...until they fired the maintenance man who used to go out of his way to help the residents. The management staff is incompitent, at best. Construction is poor, with sound insulation between adjoining bathrooms being the worst. Conversations from other apartments can easily be heard, and there's nothing quite like listening to your neighbor use the toilet.

Traffic off of or on to the Klahanie plateau is a real treat during rush hour. Figure on 20 min. or so to go the 2 1/2 miles to the highway. Leave early, it's not so bad.

On the positive side, the Klahanie area in general is quiet and rather family oriented. There are a number of trails adjacent to the complex for running, bike riding, etc. A small lake is within a 1/2 mile walk.

All in all, I can't recommend Chaparral. The location is quite pleasant, but the same can not be said for the apartments themselves.
