Chopaka is not condo style'' It is a typical Apartmant that is going down hill fast!!! I have been living here going on two years now. At first after moving in when Shannon was here, the place need major maintance. Even when I moves in, there were areas that need taken care of that took weeks to resolve if at all. After Joyce took over, the place changed almost overnight! She gave a sense of community and caring, making the residence WANT to take care of "Their Community". This was a place that was always abuzz with smiling faces and neighborly connections. Since the takeover of management, the community feel is gone and the complex is slowly going downhill. In the spring of the year, it was a joy to sit infront of the cabana in the morning with a cup of coffee surrounded by flowers and sunshine. You felt a pride as you drove into the driveway lined with color. Now the place just looks dead! The apartments are in need of paint and it is common for roof leaks when it rains. Garbage disposals might chew up soft matter, but don't even think about putting in anything substantial. even dinner leftovers, you will be digging it out with your hands and trying to clean out the drain.
If I had a choice. NOPE, I would not sign another lease for the prices they offer. After checking, there are much more affordable places available with a higher standard of living than Chopaka. It is getting to be known as the slums of Issaquah by it's renters
