I stumbled across this site and wanted to add my voice. I too made the error of considering a Lakemont rental and encountered the same bad office staff and horrid people at HSC that others have mentioned.

Without going into great detail let me say I considered living here and encountered an agent (now gone) who lied to me. Made promises that sounded unreal - and they were. Smiled and promised what she was saying was truth and then denied the whole thing when she was called on it. (I lost $$ because of this bratty witch) Realizing I would get no where with this person I appealed to the on-site manager. I was shocked at how rude this female was. You don't often encounter people like her (manager's name began with S - know who I mean').

Being thoroughly frustrated at this point I escalated the issue to HSC. Felt comfortable that they would do the right thing. I was horrified by the type of people I encountered. The office staff at Lakemont was merely a mirror image of the snakes at HSC.

By now I'm angry about all this and contact the BBB of WA. The woman I spoke with said they get many complaints about HSC. Never before had I encountered such a group of dishonest snakes and it didn't occur to me that I should check them out beforehand. Lesson learned.

I don't believe most people are as horrible as HSC but I will be cautious just the same. Please don't just take my word and those who've written prior to me. Call the BBB yourself. And don't ever rent ANYWHERE affiliated with HSC - you will regret it.
