I found my stay at Langara to be mostly pleasant with both positives and negatives. The construction is done well and the staff is very helpful and friendly. They even waived the late fee when I was accidentally late for my rent once. There are no extras such as a pool, gym, etc., only the units and a few garages, for which they charge $125 per month. The noise level was fairly quiet inside the units, although you can sometimes hear footsteps and water pipes. My neighbors above and beside me were mostly quiet. They have problems with car break-ins despite the cops that live here. The crime problems and the frequent solicitors could potentially be reduced if they installed a gated entrance. Parking is fine but all spots are filled at night. I didn't have a problem with parking as I rented one of the garages in addition to my reserved space (which comes with the unit). The garbage bins are often over-filled and the spillover trash is usually laying around the garbage areas for long periods without being cleaned up. With exception of one or two individuals, most of the neighbors did not say a word beyond hello, if that, and they usually kept to themselves. The location is close to town and easy access to shopping and I-90, although the noise from emergency vehicle sirens and the money-hungry police (who ticket working civilians all day long here) is quite frequent at all hours.
