We lived here for 8 months and could not wait to get out. When we signed our 8 month lease ------ (who we understand is asst mgr with no clue) was the one that we sat with. We told her that we wanted 2 covered parking spots, she told us what our payments per month would be including the parking, they charge 35 per spot. When we gave them our notice that we were leaving she said that we had not been paying our parking, now she says this after 8 months and has received our rent every month, she couldn't say something before, I had personally handed her out rent on more than 1 occasion she didn't notice anything' There was another young lady in the office and she helped my husband because ------ had to leave and this other young lady told us not to worry about it, the amount we were paying did cover the parking. NOT ALL that happened here. When we moved in we noticed a car in one of our spots, we waited a day and the car did not move, we went to the office and spoke to ------ and she told us that she would have the car removed, well 3 days later nothing happened and mind you we were paying for the space, THEY TOOK THE 3 DAYS OFF THE RENT BUT IT WAS THE INCONVIENCE AND TOTAL DISREGARD. A painter came over one morning and asked us to move our car because the office told him that it was ours, again we told the office that it was not our car that the car was still not moved from when we moved in, finally they had it towed. It took a painter that had to get into the spot to paint a wall on the garage next to our parking to get this problem resolved NOT US WHO ARE THE TENNANTS. I wrote to the property management company Pinnicle Management about this incident, I did not hear back from them but they forwarded the email to the manager and the manager did speak to my husband. ------ also told us that we could not use the garages for storage, NOT TRUE there were people that left their garages open and you could see that they were so full of stuff they could not park their cars in their garages, but again management did nothing and I know someone had to see this other than the tennants when the garages were open. ALSO THE APARTMENTS ARE NOT BUILT WITH TENNANTS IN MIND. IF YOU LIVE DOWNSTAIRS YOU CAN HEAR THE UPSTAIRS YOU COULD HEAR THEM WALKING, WASHING CLOTHES, AND FLUSHING THE TOILET, TERRIBLE CONSTRUCTION. That whole place was a joke, the office staff is too young in my opinion to handle the complex. STAY AWAY, DON'T GO IT MAY LOOK GOOD ON THE OUTSIDE AS WE THOUGHT.

Overall, that's a pretty accurate review. The biggest problem at Madison is definitely poor communication with management and their inability to follow-up on situations like parking, maintenance, and complaints. I understand some situations are out of their control, but they do nothing to enforce parking rules (including people that routinely park in the fire lane while others pay rent on covered spots). The quality of the apartments themselves are decent; neither top of the line, nor a dump. I've heard local kids call the area the "Sammamish" ghetto, but that's an exaggeration. I'm sure there are some undesirable neighbors, but the majority of the tenants are responsible. Noise is the biggest complaint management can't control. Like many other Washington state apartment complexes, there isn't a concrete slab between floors and insulation seems poor, at best. If you don't have screaming kids outside a window, you can expect noise from apartments above and below--most clearly from those above, with the noise travelling through the plumbing (and loudest in the bathrooms, naturally). I've complained to Pinnacle Management before, and was told the problem was being forwarded... and consequently heard nothing.
In short, I don't think the management (------, a girl with the ironic name of Madison, etc.) are going out of their way to do something badly, but they definitely create a host of problems by poorly communicating issues and ignoring problems they don't have an easy answer for (vandalism, construction, etc). They're nice, so I doubt it's a intentional sleight, but I've had too many problems to write it off as a single occurance, much like whomever posted this review. On the plus side, it's still the cheapest three-bedroom aparment complex in Sammamish, and is considerably nicer than the two I found in Issaquah at comparable rates. You get what you pay for, I guess. Even if the rates would be high in other areas, they are quite cheap for Sammamish, so the good schools come the cost of privacy, peace and quiet.
