not that bad

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
This was my first apartment and I am now living in a house so I don't have much comparison. I lived there from October 2007 through August 2008. I didn't have any problems with the management but I also never had any problems that needed to be dealt with by them. I also never had to deal with any maintenance issues so I can't comment there either. The apartments were pretty typical in terms of quality of construction in that they were not very well insulated so noise and cold were able to pass through fairly easily. I was in apartment building U and it is about 100 feet from the loading dock of the QFC and trucks pull up there at any hour of the night and they would make a racket unloading the truck; something to keep in mind if you are looking at an apartment in that area and you sleep lightly. Also, any large trucks (UPS etc.) going through the apartment complex would make tons of noise going over the speed-bumps. The grounds of the complex were well kept and fairly clean. I didn't have a car but there were often several spots open within 50 feet of our door at any time of the day except maybe between 5 and 7pm when everyone is getting home from work, but it would open up again after that. Definitely lots of kids at the complex. We did receive a portion of our deposit back after completely scrubbing every corner of the apartment. Overall I would recommend this place based on great location and reasonable rental rates as long as you try to avoid drama with the management and understand the downsides that I mentioned.
