Not a great deal anymore

It used to be a great deal here and good living choice. But rent has been raised significantly and I don't think it's worth the price anymore. Which is a shame since this was previously a good choice.

Now you notice just how small the living/dining room combo really is.

You notice the uneven floors (leaning)

You notice the dry rot.

You pause at climbing 2 floors with an armful of groceries.

You stare at the water stain on the ceiling.

The creek loses it's charm when you recall the rotting smell of dead salmon.

The traffic on Front Street is suddenly louder.

You wonder if putting up with the witch next door (Creekside) is worth it.

You realize the ancient microwave is more a hassle.

When the bldg trembles as large trucks pass you contemplate the wisdom of living here.

You wonder how many years will go by before someone cleans the chimneys. Can we say fire hazard'

All the things you overlooked before are now staring aggressively in your face. And you have to wonder -- is it worth it anymore'

I say no and am leaving.
