When I first moved into these apartments, I was really excited because we got a really good deal on rent but later to find out that the money we saved on rent, we had to use to pay for a garage ($100/each month). The parking is terrible. You can never invite friends over to have a gathering unless if you want to to park at the grocery store which is like 20min walk to the complex. There is always the other option of being a taxi and going to pick them up. The employees at the office weren't all so helpful. Everytime you walk in there to get help they seem to busy talking amongst themselves rather then doing their jobs. When signing the lease we were told the area was like a commmunty and everyone pretty much got along. We were also told that theft, vandalism, rape and all that stuff was rare since the area was a "community" within its own, but it seems like you get a letter taped or stuck on the front door for notices of theft, vandalism and rape. There was this one instance before the war started and a protester spray painted a natzi sign on a row of cars including the apartment sign along the main roadway that ran in-between and to the complex. There is security that patrols the area but it doesn't seem like they do anything because if they did then stuff like this wouldn't have happened or the crimes would occur less often. Like the previous people said. DO NOT use Gemtel Communication for your phone..I was getting someone elses phone bill for months and when I called to let them know, they still couldn't get it right till the fourth time. The whole time i was getting charged late fees for not paying on time but I never received them. I think they changed their name to Summerwalk Communications so watch out for them too. They tell you that quiet time is between 10pm-8am but when you report they don't do anything. When we first moved in the woman upstairs would be vacumming at like 2am. You could hear the kids fooling around and running into the wall or something because you would hear a big loud "thump." Early in the morning on your days off while you sleepin you could hear the maintenance guys either leaf blowing near your front door or other stuff so loud that trying to sleep would be pointless. They do a good job at keeping the grounds clean at the risk of your sleep. The dumpsters is another thing. The are usually always way too over-full adn not emtied often enough. You get in trouble for not putting your garbage bags in the dumpster but they are always full. Its stupid...
