Before I say anything negative, I will start with the positives. Their apartments are very spacious. Maybe that is why the attract so many families. Also, their maintenance staff is great. However, their office staff is in desperate need of some customer service training.
The facilities are great here at Summerwalk but getting to use them is another thing. I guess my biggest complaint is that I feel too much like an outsider trying to get into a secure army base. You have to have your official "Klahanie ID" to do anything around here. For example, I can get into the weight room (where the tanning be is) with a key that only a resident would have, but I can't get a token to use the "free" tanning bed without showing my ID.
Also, when they send around little announcements, which by the way are usually to tell you there is a peeping tom or vandel on the loose, they are addressed to "guest" of Summerwalk. Although I don't feel like it, I am more than a guest. According to the lease I've signed I am the current possesor of the property.
Lastly, there are too many children in the complex that are unsupervised and always out running in the streets. Summerwalk, of course has nothing to do with the amount of children here, but I would have liked to have gotten a warning about it prior to moving in. So, I will extend that warning to you. I don't know if it is the school district or the quiet place to leave your kids unnatended, but parents seem to love it up here.
