We just moved into this apartment community. Now we wish we should have searched even more before moving here. Keep looking... Dont rent here... The office staff is rude and ignorant. Kristin and Marta have nasty personalities and are more like used car sales people than professional property managers. Rachelle is very helpful. We moved here because we needed a bigger apt. for an o.k. rent price. We chose a 3 bdrm, top floor unit. We each have a car. After looking at the apt we were told there was plenty of extra parking next to the unit in addition to an assigned space. We were also told that if parking became an issue we could rent an additional spot for 60 dollars a month. We signed the lease and thought we had found the perfect place. After signing the lease we went to the apt. to marvel at our new place. We found that there were no extra parking spaces, only 1 assigned spot. I thought for sure, I was just missing something. I called the Marta, the apt Manager, the next day. She was so rude when she explained that there really wasnt any extra spots to park in, paying for an additional spot was not an option, and that we were more than welcome to rent a garage for 125 or park 1/2 mile away on the street. We hadnt even moved in yet. They said there was no way to break our lease because of this lie a sales person had told us. She said that they had one more unit that would work.. with an attached garage. She said that we could transfer to this unit. We moved in. Although we have parking now.... we live below, what sounds like a buffalo ranch. Not to mention a huge barking dog, and a neighbor that cant park in her garage because of all of the junk in her garage(the door is always open)... We have not had any good sleep lately because someone in the apt above is constantly pacing the floors at night. We have asked the neighbor to be a little more quiet at night and complained to the management. Nothing has changed. So tired and mad at the same time... Do not move in here....

I went through the exact same things!!! (You can read my post RENTERS BEWARE) They had told us when we moved in that our guests could park in any space that wasn't occupied by residents. The spot right next to ours was definitely not in use. I knew this because there was NEVER a car there and when we got those snow storms there was never any car tracks that lead to that spot. Well when we had that wind storm last year my brother, sister in law, and 1 year old niece were without power while Klahanie had managed to escape the power outage. I told them that they could park in the empty spot right next to ours. The management had their car towed!! It cost them over $300 to get their car back and it was damaged by the tow company in the process. The manager was soooo rude when I explained to her that I was told when I moved in that any empty spots we were allowed to use for our guests. She said to me "my staff would NEVER say anything like that" She pretty much called me a liar to my face and there was nothing I could do about it. It was my word against theirs. This place absolutely SUCKS SUCKS SUCKS. GET EVERYTHING IN WRITING! They are as bad if not worse than used car salesmen! And for the price you are paying it is outrageous!! We are now renting a 3 bedroom condo for $100 less than we were paying for a 2 bedroom at Summerwalk!!!!! And this place is BEAUTIFUL, and quiet GREAT NEIGHBORS!!! Overlooks downtown Issaquah! I couldn't ask for a better place. Pretty much stay away from ALL ISSAQUAH APARTMENTS! We got out of there as soon a we could!

Im amazed they towed the car. Over the year we lived there, people parked directly in front of our garage entrance, blocking it entirely, on average once ever 9 or 10 weeks, and in our assigned parking every 3 or 4 weeks. Parking in front of apartment access pathways marked with yellow stripes are also favorite parking spots, as are maintenance garages with NO PARKING signs in front of them. Don't think you will escape the parking madness here just because you pay for a reserved spot and a garage, and don't think calling the tow company will help, as only the office can tow cars. After hours maintenance is outsourced to an idiot in Seattle that doesn't even know these policies or even the tow company phone number. Just one more in a series of incompetent people. The office staff are not the worst Ive ever seen. For that you would need to live under Pinnacle management. Yes, get every thing in writing and keep your receipts. They make mistakes and come after you months later, so keep your act together and be ready. But they are not evil people. The real problem is lack of parking enforcement and the residents who live here. Don't even consider lower floor apartments! These structures are wood and transmit every pin drop. The residents are mostly americans, so expect lots of noise and in-home shoe wearing as they trample your ceiling to pieces, not to mention stereos that can be heard through 3 or 4 units away...through the walls and floors.
You are much, much better off renting from a private individual, provided that the condo you are renting is not a converted apartment. Tanglewood condos in Klahanie used to be apartments, so watch out. But honestly, Ive never lived there and it might not be so bad with mostly owners living there, rather than fly-by-night renters. The best housing in Seattle are the townhomes you rent from private individuals, or high rise downtown apartment towers built of concrete so they are immune to noise.
