It is now the middle of July. School has been out for almost one month. The pool is still not open due to lack of a permit. What on earth is taking so long. The Timbers and Boulder Creek have been open since the schools let out. They had no problem getting their permits. It does not seem that anyone at our complex even cares about this issue. This is absolultely ridiculous. On top of no pool--during our brief summer--we also cannot use the hot tub. What the hell is wrong with this company.

I actually emailed the people in charge of the pool permits. The reason our pool isn't approved is because they had until Dec to get approved. Our complex didn't even apply until the end of June. They won't be able to even take a look at their application until at least the end of July. They also said they aren't required to close the pool, that choice was up to Essex's insurance and legal advice, not the government. I was sympathetic to them before. Now I just feel lied to.

They passed out flyers about the pool in May. I even repeatedly asked them throughout June. They just tell you crap about their wanting to be legal and then some story. They say that everyone else is is "illegaly" using their pools. How about some reimbursement for our amenities fee? This company is even worse than Avalon was. Avalon was just greedy, but this new staff and company are a joke to talk to. Like we are all stupid and believe whatever they say. I think I've been here too long. Yes they are doing some construction/destruction work, but only because nothing was ever done with regard to exterior maintenance. There are still nails all over the place also.

I know of at least 8 other esidents, plus the two or three of you that are furious. Did you know this construction is going to take 5 months? Should we "storm the castle?"
