What a disaster. Nothing but problems from day one. Actually 2 weeks before I moved in I inspected the apartment with the manager and it was a mess. I know you get what you pay for and $585 a month is cheap rent around here but wow. They really let that place go down the tubes. The Manager at the time said it would all be cleaned up before I moved in. Of course it was not. Move in day came and the place was a mess. At this point I had no choice but to move in. They had my deposit. I had no where else to go and had to be out of my old apartment. Here is just a small list of the problems I encountered during move in. No toilet seat, no shower curtain Rod, no glass for the fire place, no light bulbs in some of the fixtures. No Shelf for the refrigerator, Broken Oven Range Fan and light, Broken clothes dryer, Filthy filthy kitchen and Bathroom. I spent the large part of an evening cleaning the apartment with a friend just to make the place sanitary. So much grease on the walls and cabinets in the Kitchen. Several times during my stay the firealarm would malfunction in the middle of the night I mean 2 and 3 am. "NICE". If anyone wants a copy of my move in report I'd be happy to show it to you. This place is a dump. 2 weeks after I moved in the apartment above me had a broken water heater and the water flooded my bedroom closet and carpet. I had to take the morning off work to clean the place up. Plus I was exausted from being up in the middle of the night with the water leaking from the ceiling. They never cleaned a thing in my apartment I used my hair dryer to dry my things out. Oh wait there is more.
The new management of the last year or so is no better. She put a note on my door stating I was being charged 150.00 and faced eviction for not paying my rent. Turns out I did pay it and on time I even had a copy of the check printed from my bank. She said sorry that it was her book keeping mistake. She was nice enough to RAISE my rent once my l lease expired so I thought time to get out. Well good luck getting your deposit back. I was charged 125.00 Non-refundable Administrative fee' What the hell is that. Everyone else calls it a cleaning deposit, Northpointe in Kenmore, WA calls it a Admin Fee so you can't use it towards clean up cost. Well I scrubbed the apartment and took time off from work to do it. I didn't want the place to be a mess for the next tenant like it was for me. Oh you can be sure they charged the prior tenant for cleaning and damaage but they did nothing to clean it when I moved it. Anyway they also charged me $50.00 to shampoo the carpet. I doubt it was even vacuumed when I moved in. Next was a, get ready for this "Lock Re-keying Charge".
The place is full of theives with at least one car break in every week. As I was moving out I heard a tenant talking on his cell phone stating that his car had been busted into the night before. Anyway I gave them back the keys upon check out and they charge a re-key fee to everyone. What a joke.
Next was the 50.00 fee to clean the apatment which I had already done. I did a walk through with the manager at check out and she said it looked nice. I asked Crystal for the cleaning deposit back and they sent me $10.00 back. What a joke.
Small Claims Court in King County here I come. If anyone wants more information just leave your contact email here and I would be happy to share more of my hellish experience an Northpointe Apartments with you. If you move there enjoy the drunks outside in the summer as well as the loud music, and dead mice that the cats leave on all the walk-ways. Save your money, save your time. DON'T MOVE to the NORTHPOINTE Apartment in Kenmore. aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

If you would like to take Northpointe Apartments to Small Claims Court the owner is Morris Groberman his business address is currently 1215 Seneca Street Suite # 100, Seattle, WA 98101.

The cost to file is $25.00 plus another $5 or less to have the papers served on him by the Postal Service. Just use Restricted Delivery with Return Reciept Requested. That way the post office will send you back proof that he signed for the notice that he is being sued by you.

Here is the website that tells you how to do everything.
