First off ,I would like to state that I have lived about ten different apartmentss in my adult life. I know what needs to be done from a moving and cleaning stand point. I feel valid in saying this because I have always recieved a large majority of my cleaning deposit from other apartments. First of all if you need or want something from the manager, Dennis, it is not easily done. This guy is too stupid to be manipulative. On many occations I have made arrangements with him, mostly payment, and he has always gone back on his word. Another thing that Dennis is notorious for is expecting tenants to sort things out for themselves. I had a neighbor that smoked pot everyday, I could seem it heavily. I did not want myself or my three year old son around. Not to mention that it is illegal for a landlord to get such a complant and not notify the police, ( see Landlord and Tenant Act for King County). When it did come time for me to move out I was short six months of fullfilling my second one year contact, Dennis said it would be no problem. My mistake was not to get anything in writing, because this was something he would throw back in my face when I tried to get my deposit back. Speaking of deposit, if you expect one here at Sammamish River apartments you will badly mistakened. Because of what I heard from past tenants about the song and dance the had to go through to keep from paying Dennis more cleaning, myself and two other people went well and above what I think most apartment managers would expect. I pulled a appliences from the wall and cleaned behind them, cleaned the whole deck area, railing and outside window included. After three people spent five hours each, and hearing Dennis tell me this was one of the best cleanings he has seen in a while, I was charged an additional $104.01. First of all a landlord can not charge itemized subjects if they have charged a cleaning deposit previously, ( again, see Tenant and Landlord Act ). At best I would describe Dennis as a chickshit, lying, con. I wouldn't rent a dog house from this guy.
