Worst place I have ever lived in my life

The person that wrote the review on 08/08/07 is blissfully ignorant of the appalling lack of professionalism by the staff at this place. They are likely the person that complained to the management of pot smoking and ignorant about the difference between a clove cigarette and marijuana. I remember the incident well, Further more, the old people have a teenager with hippy long hair that, that could be the sourse of any marijuana smell

The deplorable things that the management did to me that some new renters might not like include; demanding immediate access to my home with out written 2 day notice, peeking in my windows (apparently they were not checking up on my housekeeping ).
The woman has no concept of privacy, at one point the manager was knocking on my door 3 to 4 times a day for such ludicrous reasons as not being parked perfectly strait and equidistant between the lines.

Parking is a joke, the parking lot policies are not in writing. The woman s apartment over looks the parking lot, she is in a wheel chair and has nothing in her life other than peering out in to the parking lot. Parking policies are subject to change without notice and not all parking policies apply to all tenants. Your car and or your guest s cars will be towed at some point, no matter how closely you adhere to the vague parking policies. If that s not enough, they called the city and complained that there were not enough no parking signs on the street

The only thing I should add other than a warning to all future tenants would be that this was the worst place I have ever lived in my life. The area is a high crime area, unsafe feeling due to the largely Hispanic population in the neighboring trailer court and no car is safe from towing, burglary and or but not limited to complete theft. My number one warning is still the management s total incompetence and utter lack of professionalism

The person that wrote the review clearly is off-base, and most likely was a problem tenant to begin with. Yes, the Kenmore and Bothell areas running along or near Hwy 522 have a diversely strange mix of residential areas--ranging from trailer parks to upscale view home neighborhoods. It irks me that the reviewer targets the Hispanic population as the source of the safety issue. If that isn't a bigoted statement, I don't know what else to tell you. Since I moved here a year ago, I have felt very safe. One of the things I've appreciated is Sunridge's management and the building's owner, who basically turned this building around from shambles when he purchased it several years ago. Management does set rules that maybe some tenants may disagree with, like the parking issue, but they've clearly explained why rules have to be implemented, and I've also greatly appreciated how Management has sought out tenant opinions on various property management topics. Yes, I personally wish there was visitor parking available--but you can't have everything under the sun if you choose to rent an apartment. (If you want everything under the sun, go get yourself a house, then.)

This review is all wrong. The management (who lives there as well) are great and how dare you talk about her like she has nothing better to do than sit in her wheelchair and stare at the parking lot. That's the best form of security when she watches out that window. And that's not all she does. And there is guest parking, you just have to let them know (a note under the door works if it's late and it'll be overnight) when you have someone parked there. The guest spots are the first 3 spots on the right when you pull in. I agree that Kenmore isn't the classiest area to live in (I came from a nice neighborhood in totem lake) but at least I don't live in either of the neighboring apartments. THOSE are the ones you should be complaining about. The worst I've had is loud music or yelling kids coming from one of THOSE apartments. Never mine. I love it here and I feel very safe (the secure building is very nice). My DAD approved of this place and he is VERY hard to impress and thinks anything south of kirkland is trash. That tells you something.
