Nothing but problems from day one! We weren't allowed to see the apartment before signing the lease because it was still being redone, but we were desperate and in a hurry, we couldn't move in on time because the carpet people didn't show up like they should so we moved in two days later than scheduled! The garbage here is always overflowing, our neighbor acts like a pedophile(no, really) so have to constantly warn them to stop talking to my children. The "new" playground has been destroyed by late night partying residents. The laundry rooms are nasty. The grounds are disgusting, no picks up their dog poop, and my neighbor lets her little dog poop in the stairwell and outside of it, so our hall ALWAYS smells disgusting. The noise of my neighbors(same ones) blasts day and night through our wall, but management refuses to do anything. The pool was disgusting more than half the time and was freezing when it looked even remotely ok. We've been here four months and already our carpet has pulled up twice(management won't fix) our tile has fallen off one shower revealing a TON of mold, and the drywall behind it won't dry, even though we no longer use that shower. One of our cupboard door FELL OFF and they won't put it back up.. Despite requesting more than two months ago. We were lied to about the size of the apartment and they said they would install a door over our once pantry, now laundry room, but "couldn't find one because of irregular measurements" well I went online to Home Depot and found an acceptable door, that measured perfectly, for $20.. but evidently that's just more than they're willing to spend. They break housing codes and the law. I wouldn't encourage ANYONE to live here!
Also, our smoke alarm didn't work, so they actually came to fix that.. It's hardwired in and the wires had come apart. So the maintance guy twisted them back together. That's it, twisted them back together. No wire cap or anything. Do not live here! It isn't worth any amount of money!

Yuck, I thought out building in the Timbers was bad.
I wouldn't put up with dog waste and an apartment that isn't up to code. I'm' not sure, but I think it's illegal for an owner or manager to just paint over mold.
Have you sent written complaints or repair requests to the Timbers managers? You need to have your complaint in writing. If they don't help you, send copies to Surhco in Bellevue, the new owner, and Pinnacle Management headquarters in Seattle. If they don't make it right, you might well have grounds to legally break your lease.

I'm sure it is illegal. They've done plenty of stuff that isn't above board, like refusing to tell us why they are entering our apartment. We didn't even know they had sold a couple months ago, I found out on this board.
