I agree. The new owners/managers are an improvement, but it's not worth it. Other apts in the area are cleaner and less expensive. I've lived in old buildings that were solid. The Timbers is poorly constructed. Our walls shake whenever the downstairs neighbor slams their front door. I'm sick of it. We moved our PC to another wall because it reset itself from the vibration. Our PSE bill is crushing our budget. Hot in the summer, cold in the winter. Not worth what we pay.

Management has been a great improvement. Unfortunately they can only do so much with old uncared for buildings. When a tile came off, they replaced the nasty drywall underneath and stuff, but in the end, it's still old and has many many years of abuse and neglect. My children's asthma from the mold and cigarette smoke that comes through the wall that touches our neighbors is out of this world. Can't wait to leave. Hopefully with more than a couple months with these new owners and new managers, we'll see some worthwhile improvements. I wouldn't count them down and out yet, just give some time.
