when we first got here in fall of last year, things were not looking too well. first, one of the people who worked here and showed us around promised us stuff that apparently was not part of the promotion anymore. so when we talked to the owner, she basically told us that we would not be getting any of that stuff, and she wasn't even sorry that it happened, just told us that we weren't getting it. THEN, she goes on to berate us that since we're "kids" (read: mid-to lower 20's) that she suspected we'd be throwing parties every day, and she has a "family ideal" set with these apartments, so she was very reluctant to want us in the apartments! we found the assumptions quite rude (especially since none of us drink) but we still signed in because the location is pretty convenient.

when we'd go to the cabana, we'd be yelled at by the lady who works there, because she thought we were "too loud" in the racquetball room. she basically just yelled at anyone under their 30's, i noticed. a lot of bitter people working for sunrise pointe.

however, management changed over sometime around december or january, and things have been looking up since. new owner who i haven't really talked to, but seems much nicer. and best of all, no mean lady working the cabana. the last few reviewers are wrong -- the cabana is open 12 hours a day, 5 days a week. it was closed for about a month though, which was pretty inconvenient, and no efforts were made to reconciliate with people who wanted to use it during that time and were inconvienced, but oh well.

stolen cars are a frequency, but hey, buy a better alarm system. you're living in an apartment in kent, for god's sake, what do you expect'

the maintenance staff is incredibly nice and quick to fix things.

another thing is we have two pools, but they're only open 4 months out of the year' how crazy is that.

also, we may be just lucky with quiet neighbors, but never do i hear the neighbors around us, unless i'm walking outside. that is very nice.
