The unit was ok pretty muchwhen it was presented to me. There was a list of items to be addressed and they got to them fairly quickly. That impressed me. However, other problems have come up.
Management personnel seem to be bothered by tenants calling in or dropping by the office, as if you're distracting them from something else. I thought we were paying customers, apparently not. Overall: rude and unprofessional.
Record keeping may result in hassles between management and tenants. They'll act unprofessional when you call or write.
Burned out lights seem to go unrepaired.
Lots of litter and dumpters frequently overflow. No reclycing here, so that's part of the problem.
Quiet and some units offer a nice view.
Fireplaces are nice. Floorplans are good.
Construction is cheap, front door has a draft due to poor insulation.
Newer units have fire alarms and sprinkler systems, something not seen in many Kent units.
Visit the complex and make up your own mind. I don't regret moving here, but I'd be hesitant to recommend this complex to anyone.

At least your partially honest, I have called and been the office many times and the staff have never acted rude or unprofessional to myself, or others who have walked in the office while I was there. You can blame the littered grounds on some of the disrespectful trashy residents, I have personally seen people discarding their fast food trash into the landscaped areas of the property, and every morning I see a staff member on the grounds picking it up I feel bad for them they have better things to do like replacing light bulbs. The construction is not cheap this is an Apartment not a Condo, two different standards of construction through out the industry. And on a final note every burned out light I have REPORTED was replaced the next day.

I am not a resident yet (still not sure im going to be one here) but i will agree with the original poster, I have been in numerous times to VIEW the apts. Everytime i have been ignored for some time while the 'manager' finishes filing her nails. She knew we were there because she told us she would be with us in a moment. We left without looking at an apartment that day. Due to lack of decent apartments in Kent, we are now facing a 'pick the lesser of all the evils' situation
