My spouse and I moved here in july 06, managment shoed us the two bedroom floorplan because that's "all they have to show" We were told our apartment would be ready on the 12th of july, and we would be allowed to look at it before we moved in. We got a call couple days before stating our apartment wouldn't be ready until the 15th, and "no, we couldn't look at it" Explained to managment that we had already gave notice to where we were living and the 15th is unexceptable. Managment was ok with that and explained that our apartment was "really bad, and needed some more time" So we agreed to still move in even without seeing our floorplan, or the shape of the apartment. When we moved in the following was wrong, after being told by managment that we would have "all new stuff because apartment was really bad",Stove not cleaned out, cuts and scrapes on countertops as well as floor, no screen door, closet doors in bedroom wouldn't stay on track and was just nasty, mold build up on and in the walls due to washer busting, and neighbors just not being very clean, bathtub leaks at the sides, so does the toilet, bathroom sink moves around due to no cocking around it, sliding glass door doesn't slide, more like you have to be incredible hulk just to get it open or closed, no light bulb in dinning area, center peice of the washer comes off every time you do a wash, dryer doesn't blow out hot air, timer didn't work, no bedroom door, no doors where the washer and dryer sit, the bathroom door isn't the right size so it doesn't open and close so easy, or stay locked, storage key was the wrong one, and the outlets all around apartment have never worked properly, meaning the top ones work bottom ones don't, and there are holes in walls close to the floor, as well as patches everywhere. Even if we would've moved in 3 days later all of these issues would not have been fixed. It took MONTHS before we got screen door, bedroom door, closet doors, dishwasher, doors to where the washer and dryer sit. Everything else is still unresolved. Managment DOES NOT compensate for ANYTHING that goes wrong with apartment. On dec. 5th my stove caught fire, was told on dec. 6th a new one was ordered and it would be here dec 7th sometime. Well that day came and went with no phone call from managment as to when I would really be getting a stove. It is now the 11th and I just now got a stove. Me, my son,my spouse, and the baby I am carrying went almost a full week without the ability to cook anything, and managment could really care less about any of there tenants, and what they have to go without. needless to say it started coming to who gets to eat, me and the unborn baby, or my son. We litterally ate all the food we could that didn't have to be cooked, not to mention all the money we had to spend eating out. I figured managment would atleast compensate us for not having full use of our apartment, but we were told once again that "no compensation will be given." Parking is a real nightmare, and PLEASE if you have a nice car don't even come to visit! The theft of cars in this complex is UNBELEIVABLE! I kid you not. I cannot stress this enough to anyone that is even giving this place a thought. My car was stollen back in sept, it was found three days later COMPLETELY striped! Since then every morning when I go outside there's ALWAYS broken glass around some vehicle due to a theft, or sometimes they just take your stuff out of the car right as sleep. And don't even bother stealing the car. The security is SUPOSSED to be on duty from 6pm till 6am. I've seen the patrol car a total of 3 times since july. A couple of months ago at around 11:30 in the afternoon there were TWO apartments that were broke into, even though it was bright sunny day. it's funny how noone saw or heard anything in the middle of the day. But as soon as police got here everyone was outside........ Kind of like how all these cars get stolen or broken into and noone hears or sees anything. I feel like the residents pay alot of money to live in "kent's finest living community" for nothing. What is our money really paying for'' Sure not the security, managment, landscaping,or the area. About the only thing you count on here is the maitinence crew. When they finally get the chance to come fix or replace what is in your apartment, they do a ggod job. It's not there fault that managment IS NOT on one accord, and they keep renting out units that are just plain flat out not ready to go. There's only so much time in a day, and only so many maitinence guys. They can only do so much. Managment NEVER answers the phone, like it's really not there job. And then when you go down there to speak with a human not a machine, more than the time they're not there. They never get back to you if you do call. The pool area is always closed due to vandalism or it's just plain flat out dirty and freezing! And the hot tub is ALWAYS cold, why'' I've tried calling pinnacle who is the owner of apartments, and that was a dead end as well. They don't seem to care too much about there tenants either, which is really sad. I WOULD NOT recomend these apartments to my worst enemy. I now count down the days to which we will be moving out. It has been one thing after another here, please trust and beleive that, especially if you have children. They are WAY over priced for what you live in. My suggestion if you already live here is to keep a log of dates, times, and the people who you speak to pertaining to ANYTHING, also take pictures to document ANYTHNG, and put everything in writing, it just might save you and your family from getting took by these people. Tell everyone you know, NEVER MOVE TO BERKELY HEIGHTS. This has been the WORST apartment experience ever.

Dude,
You really need to go back to skool :o) and learn some spell and grammer. No one is spelled ???no one??? not noone. If the sink moved it was because of loose sink clamps, not bad caulking, it???s not spelled ???cocking??? that is something between your legs. What level of schooling did you achieve if any? I noticed you complemented the maintenance staff, but then put them down earlier in your review for not having your apartment ready, its not the Manager or leasing staff who gets your apartment ready for move in, it???s the maintenance staff. You also mentioned only seeing three security patrols in an evening. We???re you sitting in front of a parking lot view from your apartment counting the pass trough???s all night? moral of the story don???t accept what you were promised, otherwise you???re an idiot. I have to honestly say this is one of the most illiterate reviews I have read on this Web Site so far, no wonder you sign in as Anonymous and keep in mind it's the maintenance staff who is responsable for having your apartment rent ready, you seem to know so much but really know very little about the operation of an apartment community. And by the way Pinnacle does not own Berkley the are the management Company, I asked when I signed my lease. It sounds to me that when you called Pinnacle which was "a dead end" you were probably the problem.
