Living at berkely heights was a joke, here is a brief description of some of the problems with the property and the management:

1. Management does not care, they do not return phone calls either.
2. The management has changed 2 times in the past 7 months!
3. You have to walk you garbage across town to throw it away.
4. Loud tentants that like to cause fights, and do drugs, and party all night till 4a
5. No one is usually in the office after 4, so all your packages from ups is locked up till their conveience
6. They stick their lawyer on ya when the apartment has a mold problem that makes you ill, and your baby, then they have no options for you, so you have to move for your child's health sake, and yours.
7. There are no speed limits in the complex, people will run you over
8. Tentants spit on your car if you park in a front row of apt.
9. Mangement will bill you for two months of water bill because they are behind in billing.
10. Management wont tell you that your mail box was broke into overnight
11. Management will hang up on you/or talk over you
12. Management cusses at you
13. Your items get stolen right off your porch.
14. Rats live in the community
15. police are there like cabs in New York
16. Animal control had to come and remove 2 dogs that posed a threat to a child
17. People sit in their car and get drunk and blare their music at 3am
18. They only have one unit to show you when you inquire about moving in
19. They try to force their way into your apartment w/o your permission
20. They will call you to tell you not to put your garbage out the front door, but yet your neighbors do it everyday.
21. They will come to your front door to talk to you, while they are on a personal phone call, wasting your time as they just stare at you and continue talking to their friend
22. Management likes to gossip like elementary school kids
23. The pool, and hot tub has tons and tons of dead skin in it
24. They constantly have yard workers making lots of noise, nearly 3 times a week, and they throw your back porch things around on the ground, as they peer into the windows, and stare at you in your home.
25. The owner that knows of the problems you are having, wont address you, they just want their money, and the send their attorney at you.
26. You can hear your neighbor on the 3rd floor smoking pot, and hacking his brains out, and tapping his metal pipe on the ashtray.

Bottom line is, our experience living there was more headache than it was worth. Management does not care, owner just wants his money, and police should just set up shop there.....It is the worst experience we have ever had with an apartment, the management, and some of the tentants.


I wouldn't recommend living @ Berkeley Heights, at all, not even to a enemy.

This post is a joke and you are a complete moron. I have lived at Berkley Heights for two years and have NEVER experienced any problems like described in this post. You must be one of the dumbasses that cause these problems. It???s evident by your illiterately poor grammar and spelling (try spell check next time dumb ass). If there attorney got involved it sounds to me like you were the problem, and if you kept your child in an un-healthy apartment, you should be reported to Child Protective Services (CPS?) 7. As stated before (in other posts), this apt complex has issues that need to be addressed by the owners. Obviously that is not happening. When I lived there (yes, I'm a former resident), the people on the first level of the building I was in moved out due to a mold issue in their apt. Since this is another person with a moldy apt. I assume that there is a mold issue problem with this complex. I believe this poster.

this original post is dead on, i lived there for 3 years, the first 2 were ok, some probs, mold did form in the third year behind the wall next to the shower, discovered it when my cat was back there looking at it one night. then when this latest management took over it fell apart and really is a terrible place to live, the management drove it into the ground, removing all the trash bins except one at the bottom of the hill. made it really tough as for i am handicapped so i was forced to ride down the hill in my car with my trash. then when told about the mold they ignored it and refused to do anything about it, even the neighbors on the other side of the apt asked if we had any, and the wall i found it in was opposite of where they lived. just my opinion that there are much better places to live in kent than berkeley heights. i hope they can turn things around it is a beautiful place to live but the management really is lacking something to desire.

I live there now and absolutely love living there. My apartment DID get broken into but I can't really blame anyone but me and my husband. We left our brand new Wii box just sitting out in front of the sliding glass door and the damn door was unlocked! So no, I don't blame the staff or the apartments for that. I see police patrols regularly driving through along with the security patrols that are there. I've NEVER had a problem with the management and am quite happy with their responsed to me and any of my problems. I have no mold and neither do any of my neighbors apartments. Repairs get done in a timely fashion and Corey the repair guy is just great. I am moving to a larger apartment there and am happy to do so.

First of all, you guys started fights with US. By screaming up to us and telling us to STFU when we were talking on the back porch, when of course the only response that would be appropriate, would be "Come here and make me, B****". You could have easily asked us nicely, and we would have definitely obliged. Or, your man could have come up and acted like a real man and took care of it, instead of calling the cops. And by the way, it was NOT 4am, it was 11 pm, and it was a Saturday night. And we were not doing drugs. Get your facts straight ****Tenants spit on your car if you park in a front row of apt.**** Yes, we did spit on your car. Everyday as a matter of fact, and so did our friends. But, we will explain why. What you would do, is not "park in the front row". You had an illegal handicap permit, and made the management turn a normal parking spot that was the closest to all of our apartments, into a handicap so your lazy asses could park there, everyday. Interesting that you guys lived on the bottom floor, where you had to use stairs on a daily basis, but you couldn't park like everyone else, because you were "handicapped". What is even funnier, is that your permit was expired. Yes, we checked. We were that irritated at you guys. I guess I wouldn't be so irritated if I didn't have to park clear up the hill everyday because our jerk neighbors and their friends took over all of our parking spots. ****Management will hang up on you/or talk over you**** Yeah, because they thought you guys sucked just as much as the rest of your neighbors did. ****Management cusses at you**** Oh but you forgot to mention that you WALKED IN to your next door neighbors house without knocking, for no apparent reason and started cussing him out. I know this is an apartment rating site and not a resident rating site, but I could not resist when I read this. These people are complete tools. On a different note, these apartments suck, and don't move here. But, we may have just had an issue with it because we had such idiot neighbors. Who know.. We don't recommend it.
