Centrestone isn't a bad place at first. I have not had many problems with the office, other than they don't seem to care about you that much. Maintenance has been quick for us.

However, parking is a disaster. If you show up past 8 or 9 o'clock on a week night (even earlier on a weekend) you will likely have to park very far away from your residence. Not to mention the parking lot is in a disasterous state.

Management has been awful at forewarning us to things such as the roof's being pressure washed, resulting in many vehicles with dirt, rocks, and pine needles stuck to them.

They also took over two months to get our water bill in gear, so in one bill I had to pay a three month fee. They didn't even get it filed until I went and asked about the bill.

The overall apartment isn't bad at all. They're very cozy and clean. The mirrored closets are nice and the size of the rooms is a bonus.

I had a problem with our central heater (it would never turn off - making the place a complete sauna) and our fan in the bathroom didn't do anything other than blow the steam around. We also had problems with the circuit breaker tripping almost everytime I turned on my hair-dryer.

We didn't have too many problems with the neighbors, other than them running up and down the stairs late in the night on weekends. The downstairs kids were a little out of control (climbing in and out the windows), but that's not the complex's fault.

The parking lots ARE poorly lit, and the gate rarely works. The management even failed to give me my gate code when they fixed the gate (nor did they give me a warning). There is an officer who patrols the area on occasion when the gate is broken, but he stood behind a bush when I was walking to my apartment, causing a feeling of fear instead of safety.

Mornings are very noisy. The maintenance starts around 7am, with leaf blowers and their noisy golf cart (which makes a prolonged beep every time it backs up) which can make sleep difficult on those of us who work late. Don't expect to sleep in... it's not likely you'll be able to.

Our bathroom sink also leaks, which the maintenance fixed with some duct tape, and there is are funny yellow streaks that form on the bathroom walls. We did not receive a fire extinguisher for the kitchen either.

Overall, Centrestone is a temporary landing pad. Just stay inside your apartment.
