Glad I Only Signed a 6 Month Lease

I've lived here a little over 5 months now, and although the apartments appear to look nice and the staff is decent, there are some problems that had I known before moving in, I would have chosen elsewhere. Several times this summer, the cops have been knocking on tenants doors looking for suspects, and I've seen them circling around and casing the place. The neighborhood is not family oriented, and located near a busy, very busy corner (although it is in a cul-de-sac). Parking fills up quickly, so make sure you're back home from work before 3pm if you have more than 1 vehicle. Garbage collection is an afterthought, as there is only 1 trash bin for 196 units. And if you're caught placing trash right outside the compactor (even if it's filled to capacity), you'll be fined $25 bucks! There are some pluses, however. My maintenance problems have all been handled within 24 hours of notice (however, the maintenance guy moved back overseas, and from what I can understand, there's a borrowed guy from another property that isn't available until after 5pm.) Also, the staff, namely Amanda, is pretty nice. I've had only one instance with someone parking in my assigned stall, but none after that. Everything I'm writing is factual, nothing over or understated. I understand no apartment complex is going to be 100% how you want it, however, the things listed above are as right as rain.
