These apartment layouts are great. The apartments are cozy and easy to navigate. All the necessary accomodations are in every apartment; including dishwasher, garbage disposal, clothes washer/dryer, heaters, and most have new refridgerators and stove/ovens. Extra options are available in select units; such as townhouse layouts and fire places. Only thing that could really help out a lot in the unit would be a fan in the bathrooms, which are not available.
The exterior of the apartment buildings still look good. Grounds keeping is great. Though there is a limited number of assigned parking stalls and uncovered parking spaces, there doesnt seem to be a lack of places to park your car. There is street parking, and sometimes you have to park a little farther than you would like, but you could very well possibly have to do that anywhere else in the world that you live in an apartment complex. The only times that there is ever parking problems is when people have too many guests showing up at once.
Yeah...there is no play ground for the kids, and no swim pool or hot tub for anyone to enjoy. The campus is small and only houses between 100-200 units (i forget which end of the spectrum). But its got some other great qualities. Right across the street from the grocery store and a school; up the street from the gas station and post office; around the corner from a daycare and doctors office. Within just a few minutes driving distance of anything or anywhere you would need to go, including the new strip mall in downtown kent. Within a few minutes drive of the freeway. Right on the bus line if you want to conserve gas or dont have a car. And much much more.
Unfortunately there have been quite a bit of issues with the electrics and plumbing/flooding in some of the buildings over the last 6 months...but hey, all apartment complexes eventually need an overhaul. Even home owners need to rewire and repipe their homes after however many decades. Im sure they will get it all figured out. Plus, you never really know what needs to be fixed until its broken anyways.
Maintenance is great. This guy that has been working here for the past 12 months is the best maintenance man I have ever encountered. He gets the job done in less than 24 hours. And he does it right the first time...every time. Someone give this guy a raise!
There has been a lot of "cleaning house", as the management has cracked down and gotten a lot of B.S. neighbors out of here. Pleanty tenants that were making lots of loud noise after hours, both in their units and in the parking lot; as well as pleanty of tenants that were confirmed by the police to have been participating in illegal activities, both drug and gang related; as well as a few other tenant issues. Good job to management for taking charge and getting them out of here.
Unfortunately, however, office hours are supposed to be 9am-6pm M-F, 10am-5pm Sat, and 12pm-5pm Sun. Weekday management is hardly ever on time to work. Most of the residents complain that nobody is in the office until around 10am. There has been quite a bit of occassions when nobody has been in the office until between 11am-2pm. And all the residents complain that weekday management leaves early every day. The office is usually closed sometime around 4:30pm, sometimes sooner, very rarely later. Management has left campus multiple times throughout the day and missed multiple appointments for apartment showings, where potential future residents have had to ask other tenants if they knew when management would return. There have been so many times when management has posted a note that the office was closed for some bogus reason, that I cant even count...it happens on a regular basis. At least once every few weeks. Sometimes it happens multiple times in a 1-2 week period. And there have been quite a few times when it has seemed like nobody was trying to answer phones for anything. So many of the residents have complained about the lack of management appearance, that Im sure if corporate came out and asked each of the tenants to complete a survey...the results would reflect the above stated comments. And I really dont get it because they do so good at controling everything else around here. Where are they at when we need to get ahold of them' Can someone give me a hand when I need to get ahold of my apartment manager' Other than the management being gone most of the time, everything else here has been great.
Anyways...Im out.
