I've lived here for about 6 months and love it here! I moved from another complex down the street that was an absolute nightmare (the Avante) and am so grateful that Island Park is on the other end of the level.

The staff is extraordinary - from the gals at the leasing office to the maintenance staff. They are very friendly and extremely responsive with a positive attitude.

The unit is roomy and quiet; I cannot hear the neighbors, which is quite the opposite from my previous apartment. Everyone that I've met that lives here is very nice and seem happy as well.

There are sidewalks and lots of areas to take my doggie on walks with very minimal poo on the grounds. The area is very low-key as far as safety goes; I don't feel as if there are punks or ghetto people loitering or anything here.

I love the ammenities - the tanning bed, raquetball court, etc. The pool can get a bit crowded because there is only one, but that's okay.

Parking is parking - it's an apartment complex so there is always the issue of a guarunteed space available, especially on the weekends when people have guests over. That really isn't a huge gripe though because alas, it is an apartment. I haven't really had an issue getting a spot close to my unit anyway and simply let my guests know to park anywhere they are comfortable or to park at the leasing office and walk.

I love my new home.
