A great place to call home...if you're inconsiderate

First off, the good news. The apartments are big and nice. The staff is mostly helpful, and all but one time, I had a repair promptly made. I love my apartment, I love the location, and the staff has been very friendly and nice to me. I really want to emphasize that my problems are not with the staff. They are up to speed and friendly. But they go home at 5 or whenever, and that's when most of the problems start.
The bad news is that pretty much everything else sucks. I have had to call the police more times in my 5 months here than in my entire lifetime. In that time, I heard gunshots 4 times, there are ghetto people walking around and yelling at all times, and no one seems to understand volume control. Basically, the apartments aren't the problem, it's all the inconsiderate people that live there that are the problem. How many of the staff actually live there' None of the leasing staff. That's a sign to question the place.
There is an abundance of children whose parents don't watch them, so they end up sitting on the high voltage box in front of my bedroom being loud and running through the parking lot. One time, as I backed out, I saw 2 kids starting to walk behind my car. There are ample sidewalks here, but everyone seemed to miss that lesson on how to use them. I love kids, but these ones are loud and destructive.
I had a problem with bugs for a while. I had an ungodly amount of spiders in my apartment and also found out that my neighbors fed the mice. They had even named them. I got one of those ultrasonic pest deterrents and the problem seems to be resolved. Either that or the winter chased them all away.
The insulation is horrible so I can hear everything my neighbors do. I could even hear my upstairs neighbor's cell phone vibrating on her counter (it's the same vibe as my phone and was driving me crazy!). I hear every step and when she flushes the toilet, I have to turn up the volume of my TV. I can't believe the noise.
I grew up in Tacoma, so I am used to loud music now and again, but I hear it with every other car. One car even parked right across from my apartment at 11pm and had his music so loud, I could feel it. The patrol services never showed up and I called the police because you never know what these people might be armed with or what they may be on.
Also, every morning around 8:30, a car with loud bass would drive right by a truck with a supersensitive alarm so he could set it off. I actually saw a maintenance guy speak to the owner of that car so the problem was mostly resolved. He still does it once in a while though.
There are a lot of weirdos living here. I really don't trust anyone and just mainly stay to myself. My car hasn't been tampered with (yet) but you will see many cars with alarms and clubs.
I really like my apartment, but there are so many drawbacks about the environment here. Hopefully I will be moving to Bellevue to another Equity apartment so I wont be penalized. I just need to live in a nice, safe neighborhood. Not the ghetto like this.
