Where do I start' First with the good things, I guess.
From the outside, the apartments look very nice; there's no paint missing, the designs are modern, etc. And on the inside I was quite impressed with the size of the bedroom (I have a 1-bedroom). The size of the walk-in-closet was also nice, except that there is no linen closet, and the shelf above the W/D is too narrow to hold towels, etc. The kitchen is large and suitable for my needs, surely, as is the dining room area. The living room could be a little larger, but not worth noting it as a con.
Speaking of cons, there are many. First of all, there are the children that run rampant throughout the complex. They are everywhere, and you can ALWAYS hear them, no matter what time of day or night. One night a few of them were playing with a ball in the parking lot, the cars not more than 10 feet away. I could see them from my window and when the rubber ball hit my brand new car, I hit the panic button from my keyless entry remote. That at least scared them enough to move down the parking lot a bit. The parents were no where in sight.
Next, is the parking situation here. It SUCKS! Recently there were two of the small handful of first-come, first-served spaced taken away for handicap places. That's fine, but there were no notices that this would be happening. Also, people seem to park in covered areas when no other spaces are available. I've been on a waiting list to get a covered spot - does that mean that one is open and I was never notified'
Next is the people that hang out in the stairwell in my building at all hours of the night talking, loudly. Not to mention the loud music from other buildings, and the frequent car alarm/squealing tires at 2am.
Utility charges, like water, garbage, and sewer, are not measured per apartment. And, from what I can see, go up without explanation every month.
I REALLY wish I would have found this site before moving into this place last October. I wouldn't be looking for a new place already, ready to move the SECOND my lease is up here.
