My boyfriend and I recently filled out our applications and paid the $80 to get approved and allowed them to run our credit only to find out that it would cost twice as much to move in after we were approved.

A woman named Latoya in the office told us that we would only have to pay $10 a month in pet rent for two cats and one pet deposit of $500 to move in of which only $200 was refundable. The price of the deposit is average, but they ran our credits and took our $80 THEN said, "oh by the way, you really have to pay $1,000 for your pets and $20 in pet rent/month." I was polite about the situation as she said she was new (2 months new) but felt that certain information such as that should have been mentioned before they ran our credits and took our money, or not have been said it was certain without knowing for sure. We were under the impression she knew what she was doing and knew how to do her job.

I then asked for not both, but at least one of the application fees back because we were given false information that was the deciding factor to fill them out in the first place. They refused and now the only thing that happened is our credit is about 5 points lower for them running it and we're out $80. We hence decided against renting there.

As far as the other reviews go, drive through the complex and you can see that parking is a serious problem. People are parked in the grass and in the fire lanes. The inside of the apartment was pretty nice, but I also had a problem with paying almost $900/month in rent when they allow section 8 to live there and could possibly have the same apartment I have for hundreds less. Why should I be punished for not needing public assistance'
