The only manager who was helpful left. The place really is rather dumpy, but it's a palace compared to the crack-houses next to it. I came home one night to see 3 TV stations at the apts across the street (the REALLY dumpy ones) with their video trucks with the long antennas in the air. I turned on my TV and, yup, there was my neighborhood on TV, some fight had brought the attention. I felt fairly safe in the complex as it is gated, but then again, I never walked further than to the dumpster in the dark. And I NEVER walked the streets in the dark...and I'm a guy. I finally moved because they were upping the rent over $100 and I sure didn't feel it was worth it. I lived there from 96-98.
