Fraudulent Deposit practices at move out

I'm sorry I didn't know about this website sooner. Like many of the former residents posting here, we experienced Royal Skies' attempt to extort our deposit money - charging us for hours of work cleaning the apartment (which we had thoroughly cleaned), expecting us to "lean outside the window" of a third-story apartment to clean the windows (that was their suggestion), and charging $2.50 for a lightbulb.
We had been warned by former residents, so videotaped ourselves cleaning the place. We had to threaten to sue them in order to get any money back - which was still far from a reasonable amount.
Please, please, do not allow them to extort your deposit money! IT IS ILLEGAL TO THREATEN YOUR CREDIT RATING! (This is one of their illegal practices).
Best advice: don't move here in the first place!!!
