I have just read two of the most unfair reviews. I think it is sad that some people use the internet to take personal jabs at people in management just because they feel they have not gotten what they wanted, or worse yet, just to be mean. I thought I lived in a community of grown-ups, I guess I was wrong. I have lived here for over 10 years and the present manager is by far the best we have ever had here at Riverpointe. She is friendly to everyone and DOES NOT SHOW any favoritism. She, like many of us, is working for a company. Which in the real world means, kiddies, that she needs to work with her management to get some of the large repairs and upgrades approved. As many of us know, this takes time and in some cases budget approvals. Budgets are tight all over, ask your neighbors if they have had to take a cut in hours or if they have been laid off, then try to understand that the money you pay in rent has to stretch farther than it did a couple of years ago. So just because you snap your fingers and want new equipment in the work out room, does not mean you are going to get it. There are over 100 apartments in this complex, there are some people that have 2 cars and a work van and expect to have parking space in front or near their apartment for all their vehicles. There is one covered spot for each apartment, the second vehicle has no reserve parking and parking spaces are on a first come basis. So if you are complaining about not having a space for your second car, you may want to ask your greedy neighbor with the 3 vehicles to move his car to the open area by the fence. This is not something the manager should be blamed for, she is not here to babysit adults('). I have also noticed that those that complain the loudest are the same people who do not follow the rules as for some reason they feel the rules do not apply to them. I also have noticed that some of our newer renters really like to talk behind the managers' back and have given me the impression that they are not happy unless they have caused trouble and spread gossip. To these people, I once again question whether they are adults, I have not seen this type of behavior since I was in grade school. To these people, there are alot of very happy renters at Riverpointe and one of them may suggest that if they don't like it here, they can move out.
