I don't really care about the lawsuit, but they will not get any more money from me. They have tried to raise my rent twice in the last year. $100 more for absolutely no improvements to my unit. *note: yes, the new roof looks great.

As others have stated, there is paint overspray virtually everywhere. While I don't hold this against current management, it does need to be fixed.

We have had very poor luck with neighbors. The music ports through my floor every night up until 11PM on work nights. (This guy drives me nuts, some type of repetetive beat...like dance music. I've come to recognize the songs due to his replaying the same ones constantly. I would much rather hit myself in the head with a ball-peen hammer than listen to the mindless drivel over and over. Get some headphones, Capt. Jackass.)

There is some good, however. The ducks and other waterfowl are amazing. We get Mallards, Hooded Mergansers, Belted Kingfisher (rare), Canadian Geese, and Great Blue Herons occasionally in the early morning. We also used to see muskrats swimming around the pond, and rats running around the pond when the water is lower (to be expected).

The baby ducks in the spring are the best reason to live here. You can watch them through their full growth.

The rent raises have noticably improved the quality of people moving in, but does not compensate my lack of improvements to my unit.

Some additional notes to management: Get the feral cats to a shelter. There are quite a few that run around and are easy to spot (dirty fur). Fix the paint overspray on windows(outside and in), floors, counters, mirrors. Central Lighting' No such thing. Kitchen drawers and cabinets are barely functional. Keep shared walkways to doors clear of occupants' belongings. Our neighbors had their shoerack outside! LOL. Tow any car that is parked in the fire lane, always! These bastards are annoying and have no respect for others.

OK...lawsuit? Is there a pending or on-going lawsuit? I'd certainly be interested in contributing to the strength of any suit brought against this community as managed by Holland Residential. No, I'm certainly not a disgruntled past or current employee... I'd simply like to offer a real, pocketbook-type incentive to property management companies that conduct themselves in the way that this one has
