Apartments and Vehicles Broken into

I finally got out of this hell hole!!!!
But I must tell you only after my apartment was robbed and vehicle stolen. When my apartment was broken into through the bathroom window(which was ground level) and close to $25,000 worth of electronics and personal items were stolen I found out that the latch on the window was KNOWN by staff to be broken before I moved in. The latch on the sliding door was broken and they never fixed it or put a charlie bar in like they said "should have been installed before I moved in".
The month before I moved out I called the office and told them I wouldnt be renewing my lease that the following month was it I would be out. I was told by one of the young ladies in the office after the several attempts to change my mind that they would note it in my file. The following month I paid the last months rent reminded the girls in the office that I would be leaving. I was then told it was in my lease to give 30 days written notice. I checked my lease there was nothing stating that it just said my lease expired at the end of August. After I moved out when my lease expired. I got a letter in the mail for $3200 stating I broke my lease. I am fighting this but as a note to anyone leaving CHECK YOUR LEASE and dont let them stick it to you.
