I have been reading all of the reviews since my move out last year on Halloween. Sounds Like I was smarter than I knew I was by running for the hills to get the hell out of that ---- hole! I cannot believe us "residents" haven't filed a class action lawsuit against them for a multitude of things. I have proof...I saved every email interaction with the manager I ever had! They are screwed! They are LIARS and THIEVES. I see now they have an M.O. and THEY PURPOSELY say they can't find any record of you paying a pet desposit for instance, or as I have read, they had the audacity to claim someone moved in WITHOUT paying A DEPOSIT''' PUH-LEASE! You all know they are "ON TOP OF THINGS" when they want their $$MONEY$$..but somehow can't PULL IT TOGETHER to fix a damned thing right! SERIOUSLY PEOPLE...LET'S START A CLASS ACTION SUIT! Then let's call the BETTER BUSINESS BUREAU! AND THEN THE HEALTH DEPARTMENT! GET THEM SHUT DOWN!!! YOU HAVE RIGHTS AS A RENTER!!! You don't HAVE TO PUT UP WITH IT!!! I can't even imagine who they have on staff there now, but I'd like to run into that ----- Kim one day! Ooooh she's a c_ _ t!!!

When we lived there for the miserable 3 years we did...it progressively got worse...There was the rotten bark smell especially in summer...PUKE! The f _ _ _ ing geese and ducks making a mess by shitting everywhere! The drug dealers below me would break the path lights by our building so people couldn't see what was going on at all hours...and made it dangerous to walk next to the pond and the slippery, hole ridden grass to get to our building. We PAID FOR A CARPORT and always had to call and complain...AND NOTHING WAS EVER DONE!!! They provide FALSE ADVERTISING with those damned signs stating "VIOLATORS WILL BE TOWED" because they would never tow...the reason is obvious...the tow truck drivers wouldn't come to our neighborhood in fear of getting shot and killed!

We had cracks in the poorly designed, poorly installed tiles in our shower with the bench seat type ledge thing...and it leaked downstairs and molded the ceiling below us and all up into our bathroom...never was fixed right. WE ACTUALLY HAD SLUGS COMING INTO OUR DAMNED TUB!!! So did the neighbor below! Of course there was the lovely tile job on all the damned counters which cracks and flakes away...UNSANITARY!!! I should know...I AM A PROFESSIONAL CLEANER!!! You can't clean broken tiles and grout properly...NOT COOL!

We had a sliding door that was extremely hard to close and I am a big strong person! Our doors and windows let out all the heat in the winter causing our utility bills to SKYROCKET! And they wondered WHY we fell behind in our bills! They constantly let the garbage overflow into the parking lots for days and sometimes weeks on end...the true definition of GHETTO! There was a guy beaten in front of my door...and robbed! I was sexually harrassed by the ------- below me. Dishwasher leaked, and never cleaned right. Had my bike stolen off my second story balcony. Had slippery algae growing on the deck. We had no screen on one of the windows when we moved in and they replaced it with one that was too small for the window, so it consequently fell off to the ground, and was missing...right afterwards'''' WOW people here ARE DESPERATE!

I knew of a guy who's water heater broke, and instead of fixing it and putting he and his family into a motel for a night or two....they asked him to shower in a vacant apartment. He subsequently moved right after that incident. There's some insane reason they allow LARGE DOGS there and we had a neighbor that allowed their poor Boxer out on the CRAMPED deck ALL DAY and night...and it would howl and whine constantly, then poop everywhere. Took forever for them to resolve that. There's no end to all that we endure while living there...I just have blocked all the horrible stuff out of my head...so I can't list anything else now. All this and the deciding factor that sent me over the edge and caused my immediate evacuation...was when they told me they were going to RAISE MY RENT, even though I had an unremodeled unit!!! OH HEEEELLLLL NO! YOU MUST BE JOKING!!! PEACE OUT! TA TA BYE BYE!

To put it MILDLY...THE ENTIRE COMMUNITY SHOULD BE CONDEMNED AND A NEW OWNER SHOULD BUY THE PROPERTY AND BUILD SOMETHING NORMAL WITH SOUND STRUCTURES AND BUILDINGS THAT WILL PASS A HEALTH INSPECTION!!! AND HAVE EXTENSIVE BACKGROUND CHECKS OF ANYONE OR ANYTHING THEY ALLOW TO MOVE IN THERE. And by the way...KENT IS GHETTO AND NASTY...MOVE SOUTH OR NORTH BUT GET OUT OF THAT VALLEY!!!

Oh yes, this has been going on for years and is not going to stop....when we moved in, we paid a security deposit. When we moved out, they said they had NO RECORD of ever receiving this money. They also said we never returned the key or left a forwarding address , even though I personally handed the key and a paper with our temporary forwarding address on it to one of the idiots in the office. Amazingly, we received a letter months later at the very forwarding address they said they didn't have from a lawyer saying we didn't leave a forwarding address, didn't return the key, didn't move in with a security deposit, didn't pay the last months rent, owed for cleaning (that apartment was WAY WAY cleaner when we left it than it was when we moved in, I even shampooed the carpets and scrubbed/bleached the scum out of the kitchen tile grout, filled in holes left from picture hooks, etc. The letter then stated we owed $500 for all this BS. I wrote back stating we did not owe this money and listed reasons with the proof available. Got another letter saying that if we wanted to protest the amount owed, we would have to go to court in Kent, and if we didn't pay within 10 days, he would be filing a suit against us. If we failed to show up, a summary judgement would be entered against us and we'd have to pay the fine plus court costs. Well, how convenient, as we moved to the East Coast. Plain tickets, rental car, and accommodations alone, not to mention time off from our new jobs, would have cost us way more than the $500, so we ended up paying off the unscrupulous bastards. It's obviously a scam they have successfully pulled numerous times. When they saw we moved to the East Coast they KNEW it wouldn't be cost effective to fight these bogus fees. No doubt the slime bag lawyer who wrote the letter is part of the whole big scam. I've been living in apartments for over 20 years and without a doubt, this place is the WORST. It is nothing more than a criminal enterprise run by scam artists. No wonder they do nothing about the drug dealers and thugs who plague the complex....they are all in the same slime bag club. I urge ANYONE who is considering moving to these apartments to RUN in the opposite direction. And if you're in...you have my sympathies, and I pray you are able to get out with your finances, sanity, and possessions in tact. How convenien

I totally am agreement with this reader! With the exception of Kent...its just like any other sity you go to...Be it Tacoma, Seattle or Renton (Are good prime examples). The have a good area and a bad area...kents good side being the west side and the ghetto area being the east...At least to my observation and I dont mean any offense to those that DO live there. Jonathons Landing (as it was called back when I first lived there) was a great, safe area to move to back in da days...But as the years progressed they started to descend rapidly downhill. This was due to negligence, laziness and downright ignorance. It started with the drug dealers moving in, then this opened the doors to other probs. And it didnt help to that there was a ghetto apt section 8 complex built across the street. For the safety of my kids, we got the hell out of dodge. We had the same problems listed here...Our upstairs neighbor had a busted water heater and the water came gusing out of that thing...Weeks later (the maintenance didnt clean the mess), there was huge mold growing over half our ceiling that crawled down to where the slinding door was and beyond...we complained numerous times but to that day that we moved, it was never fixed. And then they had the nerve to tel tell me that I had to pay extra because I didnt clean it and I left the apt in a mess!!!!! I feel sorry for anyone who ignores these warning signs from us past tenants and move to this place!

I'm currently looking for an apartment to move in, and considered this place because of the special they were running but after reading these complaints...I won't even think twice about not renting here!! Thanks for taking the time to write warnings!!
