We lived here for 2 plus years. "Things" went from bad to worse. The initial presentation and tour was pleasant but everything fell apart after we moved in. Actually it started the first week. Repairs were not completed and those which were done were done shoddily and sloppily. We were good tenants...paid the rent exactly on the first every month and followed every rule but that didn't make living at Royal Firs any easier. Management is horrible. They are distant, extremely rude, and they care more about their smoke breaks than the tenants. Crime is high at Royal Firs. Kent police should just park a patrol car in the lot and just sit and wait for the next crime. Section 8 is a big part of the complex. I am trying to figure out if these people who wrote the glowing reviews acutally LIVED at Royal Firs. Maybe they are related to management. Folks, this is a bad bad bad place to move into. If you want to feel safe and secure and if you have any self pride find another place. This place is dumpy and loud and dirty and it will just get worse. We probably used the pool and hot tub and sauna twice. They are dirty and scummy and the foul urine odor in the sauna is disgusting. Management DOES NOT CARE. The other reviewers who were disgusted with the water bill...RIGHT ON!! There are so many other decent places in Kent...DON'T MOVE HERE!!!!
