Everybody is entitled to their own opinion. This website is an excellent resource and it is entirely up to you to decide where you want to live. It amazes me that the positive reviews insist that the people who don't like RF were trouble makers or did not pay the rent or were horrid neighbors. Why' For your information we were none of the above. Some of our neighbors were great. They have all moved too. The loud partiers and the druggies were rude and offensive and downright scary. The office staff did nothing about this. They REALLY don't want to hear about it. We paid our rent on the 1st of every month for three years. We did not party, we were not loud or obnoxious. We went to work and to school and came home and that was about it. Royal Firs looks fairly decent when you walk the grounds. Things change the longer you live there. The office staff is ignorant, unsympathetic, cold and humorless. They do not respond to work orders. Well, they respond but it might take a month or two. The pool is filthy, the work out room is a joke as is the tanning room. We could not use the sauna because the urine order was sickening. The apartment itself was moldy and Royal Firs has a horrendous ant problem. They really don't care. Their answer is for the tenant to take care of it, just like everything else. During our three year stay the Kent cops were there constantly. Royal Firs will rent to ANYBODY so the criminal element is rampant. Cars broken into, apartments broken into, lots of durg use. Royal Firs is like so many trashy complexes you won't see a penny of your deposit when you leave. We do not recommend this place. Please take your time and look around.
