Royal Firs is run by four Key people. simply to give the readers a better understanding of what to watch for.

Office assistant, the front desk person.: Unintelligent, Perfectly nice, but if you ask any questions of her, she will become spooked, think you're threatening to her, and freak out. Then she starts lying about what ever subject you asked her about, in attempt to sound intelligent about the subject. Take nothing she says at face value. On the outside she's perfectly nice and approachable. She treats perspective renters completely differintly, to them she listens, nods politely, and attempts to answer the questions, If she can't answer them she says she'll get back to you on it. uh huh.

Manager. Nice, Kind, and totally willing to help, however if her Husband(maintaince manager), is in proximity the opposite is the case.

The Maintaince Manager, what can I say, sadly nothing positive about this individual. If you offer either comment or complaint he gets downright rude, instantly blaming the occourance on you, and becoming very aggravated. Do not cross this individual.

Assistant Maintaince Manager. Overall nice guy, however he drives a Harley who's engine is wrecked and is so loud it rattles windows when he cruises it through the appartment complex at 1am, it can be heard from several blocks away. VERY LOUD

Complex: They've got one thing right, the grounds. I believe they spend more money keeping up the grounds then they do trying to make their customers happy. These golf course green grassy areas sure are nice, pricy too.

The appartments themselves. Rundown, unclean, moldy, and filthy. We had to rent a steam cleaner shortly after we moved in so we could clean the floors as there were stains EVERYwhere. The carpets are generally tan in color, well ours were black and sticky in spots. Completely discusting. Our refrigerator Is STILL broken since we moved in, and our neighbor below us complains regularly about it. as when the refrig motor runs it vibrates and causes her downstairs kitchen light to flicker. What an annoyance, not to mention Its LOUD.

Saftey: Nope, on that one, the saftey and security in this complex is sooo run down even the mailboxes are regularly broken into. We had 'nice' street lighting till some vandals ripped them all down. The police are people you see way too often, I don't mind their presence, though its the reasons they're here that bother me. Their response time is quick though, as The Kent regional dispatch center is nearby, just a few blocks up the street from us.

Parking. The managers are exempt from all parking situations. no surprise there. Yes my vehicle runs, its fairly new, I just don't drive it often, I've had parking violation stickers on it from the complex regularly now, them saying its a non running vehicle, I drive it down to the office and show them just how nonrunning it is and the ticket is dropped for the time till a month or two down the road when I get yet another ticket and I offer them a repeat performance of driving it down there to show them yes it still works. Its Mine, It runs, GET OVER IT!

Overall. The place is reasonabaly affordable in financial terms, In all other terms its just a challenge, the management, saftey, maintaince, and everything else needs some serious help. I won't recomend the place necessarily, but will say that it is affordable. You're results may vary of course. Good luck.
