Not surprised by the several negative, yet accurate, reviews of Signature Pointe. I was a former tenant, and trust me, the out-of-state conglomerate that owns this property makes sure you know that you are nothing more than that. When you enter into their hellish, no-rights lease, be prepared to have nothing free but an occasional cookie thrown your way. You will pay way too much for what you receive from this complex. Do not expect a refund of your "refundable" security deposit, as that $100 of my total $350 deposit was confiscated for the sake of carpet and blind cleaning, which I'm sure they did half-ass considering the state of the unit when I moved in. The other $250 they "steal" from you in so-called administrative fees and other nonsensical charges. Upon moving out, they wanted another $150 in carpet damage from the stain the outside ground water caused after seeping up and under the carpet, damaging my grandmother's cabinet with water stains by the way. But after fighting them, they didn't pursue it any longer and agreed with me. The noise was palpable in my unit. But I can understand if you had to reside under or next to noisy folks, and there is a more than ample discourteous population that bunks there, that noise would be an issue. Let me point out some more reasons why you SHOULD NOT LIVE HERE. Unsupervised bratty kids running amok. Speed bumps from Hell (I had to traverse over nine to get to my place). Disinterested, bitchy staff, save for Carla, who was OK. Lack of recycling, but daily refuse pick up to their own industrial trash compactor on premises. A maintenance man would drive this little beaten-up Ford around the complex pulling a train of dumpsters behind him. Rude grounds crew that deliberately blew a pile of leaves on my welcome mat every Friday that they would come around. Musty, old appliances (the washer and dryer had to be 20 years old as well as the oven). Lack of privacy (within a year, I had at least six times where my unit was "inspected.") Parking problems (yes, if you come home after 8 p.m. good luck finding a spot within a three-block area of a very-dark, scary lot). Mailbox (mine was at the end of the complex, a good six-block walk. Crummy neighbors (didn't meet a single person who was friendly). Over-the-top rules and guidelines (talk about holding your hand to do anything). And though there were two pools, I never got to use them because the same Hispanic families decided they were for their own private parties or 100 kids that were in them every day through the summer. Shall I continue' ... g-hKOS7s4Nq5n3hEIpHd
