Awful. Just Awful.

When I moved here from out of state, I found this apartment to be appealing b/c it was a gated community and from the outside looked really nice. I rented an apartment here w/my 3 children, b/c it was close to where I needed to be and I really did like the school my children went to while living there.) I thought it was safe, considering it was gated. (wrong.) I thought the apartments would be quiet. (wrong again.) I thought upkeep on the apartments would be done in a timely manner. (nope.) I thought w/ 3 pools there wouldnt be a problem w/ crowding and rowdy kids. (wrong again). I was really led astray when we 1st moved in. Unkept promises, i.e.- new carpets, quiet neighbors, friendly staff, and a safe area to play. Once in, (what felt like a prison at times w/the cops coming through all the time) I didn't feel safe letting my children play outside, ride thier bikes, or even walking to school b/c I sure didn't know what to expect on a daily basis. About a month after living there, my car was broken into and vandalized, not to mention a visitor of mine spend the night and his car was also broken into (for a cassette player I might add!) Then my children and I witnessed a drug raid, that included about 20 officers in a raid van and 5 cop cars, shortly after that, we saw a drunk driver in a pickup truck randomly smash into parked cars in broad daylight, constant fights from disputing couples. When we tried to use the pools, few adults were present, (and management did nothing to correct this) so my children could not play without some sort of confrontation from some unsupervised child. (my favorite part of that is we used to go to the pool that was right behind the rental office and this would take place right under thier noses and they wouldn't do anything to stop it.) Shortly before I moved out, I called them to take care of a problem w/ birds I was having. It took them at least 2 weeks before anybody came out to fix it. When they finally did, there were 4 dead birds living in my ceiling that managed to get in through the dryer vent. They put a little plastic guard to cover it, but the birds still managed to get thru and when I moved out, they somehow entered the apartment through the chimney. When we moved out, they told me that my apartment was fine and that I wouldnt have to do a walk-thru with them, about 2 months later I get a bill in the mail for over 1000.00 for damages, which were never there.I have asked for an itemized statement repeatedly, I have yet to receive one.

If you consider moving here, you might as well consider moving into project housing. There is no difference, except project housing might be a little nicer (and maybe even safer) than here. Sorry guys, you have nice properties elsewhere, but certainly not here. Why''
