I like this place.

I like this apartment complex. I have a one-bedroom townhome with a fenced in yard area, and it's a fantastic improvement over my last place.

The good stuff:

Appearance wise, the place is nice. The grounds are well-kept, and management encourages tenants to keep their outside spaces nice with contests for nicest looking patio area, though I've never been reprimanded for not having a nice outside.

Maintenance has never been a problem. Anything I've needed fixed has been done the day I reported it, or the day after. Our dishwasher pooped out and they replaced it the very next day. And yes, the maintenance guy is cute.

The staff is always nice to me and takes the time to make sure our "community" is happy.

There's more than enough parking, and when I have people over, there's always enough space for them in the visitor stalls too.

Not-so-good-stuff:

Yes, the neighborhood leaves something to be desired. There are vagrants roaming around, but management tries to help out, by having seminars with local police and financial incentives for residents to keep their eyes open too.

The acoustics are weird. So far as t.v.s and talking go, I don't hear my next door neightbor very often. However, if you're downstairs (the townhomes have upstairs/downstairs w/partial cathedral-type ceilings), and your neighbor is walking around in his upstairs, it sounds like there's someone upstairs in your apartment. And if you'rs upstairs and he's downstairs, vice-versa. It really freaked me out the first couple months I lived here, but I've gotten used to it.

Overall:

I'd say that this complex is a nice place to live, like an oasis in the craptastic area it's in. It's a thousand times better than the last place I lived (although that probably speaks more to the lacking quality of Skyline Apartments than anything else), reasonably priced and I have recommended it to friends of mine who were thinking of moving.
