I lived at Ventana Apts from April 2006- October 2006. I am a young single female and never felt safe at this place. Infact while i was staying here a murder occured in the parking lot! That is correct, a young man was murdered, stabbed to death and another was severely injured. I came home to police everywhere and the apt down the hall from mine was blocked off with police tape. The police and media were all over the scene all night and all day. Let me tell you i never felt less safe anywhere! There were always large groups of guys hanging out in the front making me feel very unsafe to even leave my car and go to my apt. When i called the management to talk about it they basically blew me off. I would never, never recommend that anyone live here! The management was nice but they seemed powerless to really do anything. My neighbors were always loud and even though the management said they talked to them about it it never stopped they played loud music from 6am to 11 or 12 at night. It is cheap but you definatly pay for what you get. If you ask me you should pay a little more to live in a better, and MUCH safer environment. I mean come on, how many apartments can really say that someone was murdered and others were assualted with a knief on thier property.

The stabbing was not caused by tenants at Ventana Apartement. They were a group of teens walking along the street and ended up in a fight and the one stabbed ran into the "secure" building. If everyone would make sure the front doors were closed the kid would not have been able to get into the building. I love living at the Ventana Apartments. I have never had trouble with any one. Management is doing the best they can. They have even started a crime watch. They meet in the office 2 or 3 times a year. Only complaint: Put the pop machine back! LOL

Yes- The stabbing. I want to know why they have not condemned the place yet!
